More Ink Capacity, Same Compact Footprint
The UJF-3042 MkII EX e is the expanded model in Mimaki's A3 desktop UV-LED flatbed line. It keeps the same 11.8" x 16.5" print area and 6" media clearance as the standard UJF-3042 MkII e, but adds a fourth staggered printhead for more ink capacity — letting shops run extra colors or specialty inks without stepping up to a larger machine.
It's built for commercial print providers, promotional and personalization businesses, and manufacturers who need specialty items, awards, and just-in-time production runs from a small-footprint tool.

Four Staggered Piezo Heads
One more head than the standard UJF-3042 MkII e, giving more room for white, clear, primer, or light-color ink combinations.
MAPS4 + Variable Dot Technology
An advanced pass-banding algorithm paired with variable droplet sizing keeps mid-tones, solids, and gradients smooth even at higher speeds.
Waveform Control + Networking
Finely tuned ink-specific waveforms shape and place droplets precisely, while Gigabit Ethernet supports multi-printer connections for production scaling.
Low-VOC UV-LED Ink, Energy-Efficient Curing
Like the rest of the UJF-MkII e family, the UJF-3042 MkII EX e runs on low-VOC UV-LED ink. UV-LED curing uses less energy than other UV lamp types, runs cooler, and has a longer service life — letting the printer work with heat-sensitive materials without extra cooling steps.

Ink Types
LH-100 — Rigid UV Ink
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, White, Clear. Optimized for hard, rigid substrates like wood, metal, and acrylic.
LUS-120 — Flexible UV Ink
A flexible formulation for materials that bend or compress after printing, expanding the machine's substrate range.
The extra printhead's ink capacity means the EX e can hold white and clear alongside a full CMYK set without giving up light-color options entirely.

Variable Data with Adobe InDesign Data Merge
RasterLink6 RIP software lets users build a template and auto-populate data using Adobe InDesign Data Merge or third-party VDP plug-ins — producing a table's worth of personalized output from a single print job.
